So.. I thought I would do a blog post about my pregnancy and other goings ons. It's mostly for memory sake for me:) I'm on my last stretch! I have been pretty lucky so far during my pregnancy. I haven't had any major complications or issues. Sure, a little morning sickness during the first trimester but nothing too bad. Also, tomatoes are pretty much the devil to me now. I can't eat them during pregnancy. Heartburn, throwing up, yucky, ugh... Surprisingly, I haven't had any cravings.
Our baby boy has looked great and measured right on track at all of the doctor's appointments we've had so far. We've feel very blessed. We are very excited to be having a little boy come October. Ricky was ecstatic at the doctor's appointment when we found out. I am excited to have two amazing boys as my prized possessions. I will be one lucky mama:)
Here are some pictures of our 22 weeks ultrasound doctor's visit:

I feel the baby move here and there. I guess the Dr. said I have an anterior placenta meaning that the placenta is attached at the front of the uterus in front of the baby instead of the back, meaning I may feel him less. Some days I feel him bumbling around more than others. For any expectant mommies out there I would say that when you feel your baby moves it feels kinda like popcorn popping, gas bubbles, and twitches in your belly. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish from other gurgles in your tummy. But it is true what they say, feeling your baby move is such an awesome experience. It makes all of the discomforts of pregnancy totally worth it. Its like, "ah! there really is a little person in there!" It is a pretty neat feeling when I do feel him.
I would say the most difficult thing about being pregnant is having to practice patience. ugh. From the moment that I took that positive pregnancy test, I wanted to have the baby already! I know crazy, right? Waiting for each Drs appointment is difficult because I just wanna see our little guy all the time. But I am glad he is measuring well!! I have day dreams about him and being a mom. I really have no idea what to expect but I am ready to learn and do the best I can being a mom. I think everything is still surreal for Ricky because he hasn't really got to feel him from the outside and hasn't had to experience any of those not-so-fun pregnancy symptoms:)
Lake Powell was amazing, as usual. Even though being pregnant made a HUGE difference, it was still fun. I couldn't do the wakeboard, tubing, anything like that but I was still able to ride on the boat and take the jet skis out (carefully), oh and paddle surfing (SO much fun). I was happy to watch Ricky enjoy it all but was still jealous! My dad bought an air chair. Yeah... i didn't even get to try it. But I keep telling myself that next year will be the best! I've been amazed at the little things I took advantage while I wasn't pregnant. I always have my baby in mind whenever I do something or eat something. Being a mom has already kicked in! There is no more thinking of myself... Some things I miss now that i'm pregnant: being able to drink diet coke, getting my heart rate up to 160 while exercising, running, sleeping through the night without having to pee every hour, having a stretch mark-free body (fortunately, they aren't too bad though), bending over to pick stuff up without straining, water sports, not waking up every time I turn when I'm sleeping, hot tubbing, and just plain not worrying about everything little thing I do. But all in all, I have loved being preggers. It is the best watching my baby belly grow. It is all very much worth it! Ricky and I are so excited to meet our baby boy. Only 2.5 months to go!
My belly at 28 weeks:
Other goings ons? Ricky starts school again for the fall semester at UVU. As for me, I am still working part time and I also write articles for an online company when I can. I am anxious for the baby to get here. I am looking forward to having time to learn how to be a mom. We are loving watching the olympics too.. I will be sad when they're done:( I never really watched them much in the previous years but I have really gotten into them this year.
Just for kicks and giggles, here are some more pictures from our Lake Powell trip:
And here is Ricky on the air chair. What a pro!
This was so fun to read and hear the "play by play" action. It really is a great time to be pregnant and get to have these little ones come to us. We loved all the cool pictures...however, we were waiting to see the electrified boat after it was struck by lightening! Love you guys!
