Just a stinky sea and some MIA!!!!

Hello again! I decided that blogging is quite a project.  It's pretty time-consuming so we'll see if I can keep up with it! :) So... Ricky and I have been having lots of fun lately. We got to go to California with my family a couple of weeks ago. We had tons of fun and I got pretty sunburned! A cool part of the trip was when we went to the Salton Sea... pretty interesting.  Below is some pictures of it.  It is called a "dead" lake because years ago, due to an irrigation accident, tons of water flooded the Salton Sea Basin with no oulet.  It still sits that way today.. just a rotting sea of toxic waste and dead fish.  The smell was AWFUL!  Anyway, it was a cool experience. We appreciate my parents for taking us on that fun trip. Thanks so much mom and dad!!

Then to add to our fun, last weekend we took a trip north to the beautiful little town of Lewiston!! We had a blast. We played some of the best games--- mia  and sardines!! I haven't played games like that forever it feels like... it was so much fun.  I also sharpened my hula hooping skills thanks to Tausha! And also, a big thanks to Ricky's wonderful mom for helping us plant some little flower pots that are going to freshen up our little apartment (and making some yummy meals!) :) It's always fun to spend time with family. What a great feeling and an awesome time we had :)

  1. That sounds so gross! I hate how Salt Lake smells when a storm brews over The Great Salt Lake. YUCK!

  2. Looks like a cool and very fun trip, with the dead fish and all...great pictures! It was so fun to have you guys come up here. I had a fun time helping you two plant your pots...Let me know when your seeds sprout. As far as the meals go, it was fun cooking for "the crew," and seeing the food get devoured - that's a compliment to my cooking! : )
